Berwick:  Nova Scotia's Apple Capital

Berwick, Nova Scotia's Apple Capital, is nestled in the centre of the famous Annapolis Valley.  The Berwick area has been a hub for the processing and manufacturing of apple products and the storage and exporting of our famous Nova Scotia quality apples since the early 1900s.

Take a drive around the surrounding area to view the many nearby orchards; stop at one of the farm markets and sample some local produce.  Visit the shops in town to purchase local products.  Stop and talk to people along the way to learn interesting tidbits of local history and all about apple farming.

If your family has a local connection, you may wish to trace your family's roots at the many churches and cemeteries in the area.

We are sure that you will enjoy your tour of our Apple Capital and surrounding areas.  Please take pictures along the way to remember your visit by.
