Fall 2004 School Contest Winners

Apples “The Original Smart Snack” Drawing Contest receives over 2,100 entries!

During the months of September and October, the Nova Scotia Fruit Growers' Association held a drawing contest for Nova Scotia school children in grades Primary to six. The goal of the contest was to have Nova Scotia students demonstrate that apples are one of nature’s “Original Smart Snacks”. The response was tremendous! Over 2,100 students from 74 schools throughout Nova Scotia put their imagination and art skills to work and drew eye-catching, colourful posters.

We would like to thank each student that took the time to enter the contest - we thoroughly enjoyed reviewing all the entries. We would like to extend special thanks to the teachers and principals who helped to make this contest a success.
