Apple Math
Everyone in the class
receives one apple:
Don't eat your apple
yet!
Using a scale, find
the mass of your apple in grams.
Record the mass of
your apple and the masses of your classmates' apples.
What is the greatest
mass? What is the least mass? What is the difference between the
greatest mass and the least mass? What is the mean mass?
Measure the circumference
of your apple in centimeters. (Tip: Use a string!) Record this
information. Collect data from your classmates about the circumferences
of their apples. Is circumference related to mass? Create a graph
to illustrate this relationship.
Now you can eat your
apple!
