Name that Body Part
Bees are one of the
many insects found in an apple orchard. Even though you may easily
tell one insect from another, they all have a similar body structure.
Insects have three
main body parts:
1) HEAD: The
insect's eyes, mouth, brain, and antennae can be found here.
2) THORAX: The wings and legs are found on this body part.
3) ABDOMEN: This body part is important for breathing,
getting rid of waste, and producing offspring.
Your task:
Using the descriptions above, point out the head, thorax and abdomen
on the picture of a bee.
Now colour the bee.
The head and thorax are black. The abdomen is yellow and black/brown.
